University of Hawai'i at Mānoa
ICoME 26 will be hosted by the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, a public land-grant research university in Honolulu, Hawai’i, United States. As the flagship campus of the University of Hawaiʻi System, this four-year research university consists of 17 schools and colleges. Together, the colleges and schools offer bachelor’s degrees in 93 fields of study, master’s degrees in 84 fields, doctoral degrees in 51 fields, first professional degrees in five fields, post-baccalaureate degrees in three fields, 28 undergraduate certification programs, and 29 graduate certification programs.
The University of Hawai’i at Mānoa campus is frequently celebrated in national and international publications, primarily for its natural beauty, unique architecture, and status as an accredited arboretum. Frequently described as “welcoming” and “diverse,” the campus offers a multicultural global experience. The campus is described as a prime example of “Tropical Modernism,” where structures are designed to interact with the island’s breezes and natural light rather than sealing them out.
